Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using GradeHorizon, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site. If you use the site for a student who is a minor, you are responsible for supervising that use as required by applicable law and the student's circumstances.
Educational service
GradeHorizon provides general educational information, mathematical examples, and planning tools. Results are estimates based on the values and assumptions entered. GradeHorizon does not maintain an official school record and does not provide academic, legal, financial, counseling, admission, or credential-evaluation services.
School handbooks, course syllabi, gradebooks, registrars, admission offices, application services, scholarship providers, and eligibility organizations may apply rules that differ from GradeHorizon examples.
Acceptable use
You may use GradeHorizon for personal, family, classroom, counseling, and other lawful educational purposes. You agree not to:
- interfere with site operation, security, or access controls;
- use automated traffic to inflate advertising impressions, clicks, or site metrics;
- attempt to extract private system information or introduce malicious code;
- misrepresent a GradeHorizon estimate as an official transcript or certification;
- copy or republish substantial site content as your own service without permission;
- use the site to violate law, another person's rights, or an organization's academic policies.
Your entries and device storage
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of information entered into the planner. Do not enter a student ID, account password, medical record, or other sensitive information into course-name fields. Planner scenarios are stored in the local browser as explained in the Privacy Policy.
You retain responsibility for your own entries. GradeHorizon receives no ownership interest in planner data that remains only on the device.
Site content and intellectual property
GradeHorizon owns or licenses the site's original interface, explanatory text, examples, branding, and code, except for third-party names, trademarks, linked materials, and facts that belong to their respective owners. These terms do not transfer ownership of GradeHorizon content or branding.
You may quote a limited portion for commentary or education when legally permitted and when GradeHorizon is identified as the source. A request for broader reuse can be sent through the contact page.
Third-party sources and links
The site links to registrars, educational organizations, application services, advertising controls, and other third parties. GradeHorizon does not control their content, security, availability, or policy changes. A link is provided for reference and does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.
Changes and availability
GradeHorizon may add, change, correct, suspend, or remove features and content. We aim to keep formulas and links useful but do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent storage of local scenarios, or compatibility with every browser or assistive technology.
You should keep your own record of any plan that matters. Browser cleanup, device changes, private-browsing behavior, or a site update can remove locally stored data.
No warranties
To the extent permitted by law, GradeHorizon is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that every result is complete, current, error-free, suitable for a particular institution, or accepted by an outside organization.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, GradeHorizon and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of or reliance on the site, including decisions about courses, grades, admission, eligibility, scholarships, or applications. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes to these terms
Updated terms will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means the new terms apply to later use. Material changes will not retroactively change ownership of planner entries stored on a visitor's device.
